This is number six on my doctor’s diabetic sheet.
DO NOT get frustrated; even if you do everything you are supposed to
the disease may advance and worsen over time by its nature.
That’s a really hard one for me.
It’s also something he keeps reminding me of.
I find it really hard not to beat myself up over my blood sugar readings. Sometimes I just go wacky.
Maybe I’ve eaten a certain food combination a hundred times previously and could count on good readings, but on 101 I spike. That is really where my frustration comes from. It leaves me baffled and angry at myself and my body. I’m trying my best to manage the beast, but it won’t cooperate.
My second area of frustration is my weight. I’ve whined about that in earlier posts so I won’t bore you with it this time.
In future posts, I will search out ways to battle diabetes frustration.
