I've decided to do something very simple to get more exercise into my daily routine and I hope you will join me.
If you follow this blog, you know that my left big toe has been amputated due to diabetes. It was my first clue that I was diabetic and to sum it up that rocked me to core. The whole catalyst to the amputation was a blister I got while walking for exercise. I got a staph infection and then my blood sugar skyrocketed. The toe had to go.
Ever since then, I've been afraid of exercise even though I know it is vital to my health.
So here is The Sweet Diabetic Fitness Challenge.
Every time you into the bathroom, close the door and do 10 squat exercises.
That's it.
I can do that. I know you can too.
I started doing it this weekend. I can feel it working in my legs and stomach. I can hold on to the sink and not worry about my balance. No one is going to see my lack of form with door closed. I don't have to wear special clothes or go to a gym. I don't have to be afraid of blisters.
All of those squats will add up over time. I will easily do 60 or 70 a day I bet because I drink a lot of water.
Please join me. Let's get fit 10 squats at a time.
