I've been reading The Astonishing Power of Emotions by Esther and Jerry Hicks. It's one of those books that has caused a light bulb to go off for me. As a result, I'm thinking downstream thoughts because I realize that nothing I want is upstream.
This all relates to the Law Of Attraction of which I am a strong believer. Downstream thoughts are using the path of least resistance to get what you want. It's going with the flow. It's NOT struggling against the current.
Here are some examples of the downstream thoughts I'm applying to my life.
- I allow a slender body.
- I allow abundance.
- I allow wellness.
- I allow joy.
I've stopped standing in my own way by thinking upstream thoughts like:
- I'm fat.
- I hate how I look.
- Diabetes has a mind of its own.
- It's hard to live with diabetes
- Why me?
Do you see the difference?
I can tell you that I FEEL a difference by focusing on downstream thoughts.
The book had done wonders for me. I highly recommend it.
