Five things I'm thankful for today, Friday, May 16, 2008.
Sometimes I get so wrapped up in the down side of being diabetic that I forget that there are other things in my life to be thankful for. So to improve my own attitude, I'm going to try to share with you five things each day that I am thankful for.
Finally. I think I've found a healthy food combination that my blood sugar and I can agree upon. I would like to share that with you.
It's taken me a while to get back to walking after my toe amputation, but so far this week I've logged in four miles.
Sometimes I just want to cry after I've stepped on the scales.
It's really been bothering me lately that I can't wear sandals ever again since I've had my big toe amputated. It's even invaded my dreams.

Sometimes I wish I could wake up to a diabetic free day
where I could just be normal again. I wouldn't have to worry so much
about what I ate and I could relax. My whole day would not have to be
planned around diabetes.
