I have to apologize for not being very consistent with my blog postings here lately. I’ve been going through a period of self loathing regarding my weight and my apparent lack of diabetes control as indicated by the results of my last a1c test. If you’ll remember it was 7.5.
Sometimes I get so caught up in being diabetic that I really need to do something to take my mind completely off of it. So I've turned to my lap knitting looms. It's made me realize the importance of hobbies.
For one thing, it relaxes me. I've seen my blood pressure numbers especially go down and I find myself not doing as much snacking. When I am using my lap knitting loom, it's like I'm taking a break from being diabetic for a little while. It feels really nice.
